Pair of Chinese Bronze Guardian Lions

A decorative pair of Chinese guardian lions, traditionally known as Foo Dogs, modeled with expressive features and intricate detailing. Each lion is seated on a raised rectangular pedestal, with one resting its paw upon a brocade ball and the other accompanied by a playful cub.

Finished in a warm aged bronze tone with traces of gilt decoration, the pair displays an attractive patina that enhances its traditional character. Symbolizing protection, strength, and prosperity, guardian lions have long been placed at entrances and important interiors as auspicious decorative objects.
